Who said “Kingfisher” was all about beer?

Hmmm…. everyone did grow up listening to KF* for all the wrong reasons (momma saying, “don’t ever get drinking. it’s a bad habit”). And lo’ it got into the big beerman’s hearing distance… and instantly, he took it as a personal failure – being (in) famous!!!

Wracking his brains hard, he decided to take a hit at all those mommas… and out came the KF water (hehehe…. “debeered” mineral water). Naaaah, itz not the mineral water running on De Beer diamonds before getting bottled. It was just his way of appealing to all the mommas. He had thought that water was something people cannot live without… so moms won’t be telling people, “Don’t drink KF water!!!”. But, little did he realize that it is the GenX he’s been trying to woo… the cola generation. Sheeesh…. the whole KF plan went kaput… more violently than a piece of brittle glass thrown down from the 100th floor.

But, then someone’s said… the world lives on hope. And so did our big beerman… and he came up with a new idea. His customers are the elite people and then with the economic development, people took to the skies very often… and there was no alternative (now no one wud wanna travel from India to Europe on a ship or even a hot air balloon). More importantly, mom won’t have an excuse… to stop their kids from not flying.

Here was born the KF Airlines… and not dat the big beerman learnt his lessons n mend his ways! No, he was way too much in a revenge-taking mode…. and lo’ another way to get people to do wat their parents don’t want them to do. I still remember the snaps from the KF Airlines launch… skimpily clad air hostesses… cudn’t have been different than that. A true big beerman style!!!

From there, you know… wat happened!!!

* KF stands for Kingfisher

Anyways, again the same question on wat made me write about KF…. was it the warm welcoming of the air hostesses or the fact that the air fares are gonna get more dearer now (with the government forcing them to take the congestion fee off). Nopes, it was while I was browsing thru my blog that my eyes went on the 14000 guests ticker on my front page and lo’ guests reminded me of how KF addresses passengers as guests!!!!!
